Here is the peony !
Wonderful drawing!
I’ve been working on the peony and this is what it looks like right now. I departed from the photo and relied on line for the flower.
Quick sketch of the peony that I may work up to a more finished drawing.
Peony
This was a fun super-sized flower!
This was my first time using charcoal. It was messy, but I loved it!
I got totally bogged down drawing each petal and basically not doing things the way you recommended, Scott. I also think for flowers maybe smoother paper might have blended better, not sure? Flowers feel very claustrophobic for me… ?
We got transferred to FL from CA. An art buddy of mine in Sacramento has been linking up with me for each of the classes. He’s not posting his work but this one of his….I think is terrific, his best so far, and really NEEDS to be shared. This has been a great gift from Artist’s Network and Scott and has been a great way to meet new friends AND connect with old ones
I finally got around to finishing my peony! Everybody’s are SO good!!
My peony
Good exercise!
I enjoyed it!

What a bummer. I was just warming up. I decided to do it on my own. I needed Scott to guide me. ?
