  1. I was feeling good about this until the teeth… my gums got out of control and it started looking like a horror-show . This is why I’ve always avoided smiling portraits! ?

  2. The teeth were a struggle, like the skull we did. I had to finish the face although it doesn’t look much like the reference image. I always enjoy drawing together!

  3. I worked it past the ‘ugly duckling’ stage and continued well into the ‘horror movie’ look 🙂
    It still looks creepy to me, LOL! I confess I worked on it much longer than the live session…

  4. Thanks Scott for the fun classes. I haven’t drawn a thing since I was 16 at school and that was 40 years ago. I used the reference photo but don’t think you would know mine is from the same photo. Anyways was nice to have a go….. looking forward to the next lesson now 🙂

  5. I was not unhappy with my smile until I put it on my easel and realized I have the left side down a lot more than it should be if I am being particular to the reference photo. But….
