this episode is Part of the Drawing Together live video series – learn more here

The mountains are calling, and for this episode, I’ll be working from a photo I took at one of my favorite places here in Colorado. This drawing episode will be all about trusting our marks and reacting to space, light, and form, rather than being bogged down by the details. 1. Thought I’d go crazy and try doing this in pastel, yikes. Never done one before but I was getting tired of black and white. I have a box of pastels from my long gone mom so I broke them out of the drawer. It felt like coloring and this waould have been tough in charcoal too.

  2. First ever landscape so I really struggled… but the struggle was enjoyable. Posting my result anyways…. dont laugh too loud lol
Thanks for another great Drawing Together…
